On Wednesday 25 March we celebrated the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. This marks the day when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and announced that she would become the mother of Jesus. This moment is seen as the beginning of God’s plan becoming visible in the world.

Mary’s response, her brave and trusting “yes” is central to the feast. Even though she didn’t fully understand what the future would hold, she chose faith, courage, and openness to God’s call.

For us as a school community, the Annunciation is a reminder that ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they act with kindness, courage, and purpose. It encourages us to listen, reflect, and respond to the opportunities we have to make a positive difference.

A big thank you to Year 7 Oswald for leading the Stations of the Cross as part of our Lenten journey. Your care, reflection, and leadership helped our whole school pause, think, and walk through the story of Jesus with real understanding. Moments like these remind us how powerful it is when students guide one another in faith and reflection.

Thank you also to those parents and carers who were able to attend - your support is appreciated.
